I’m having the “Fisherman’s Plate” which is squid, octopus, shrimp and other sea creatures on a bed of roasted vegetables.
The restaurant is caled “Manaca” and is located in a spot so secluded, the restaurant has it’s own 4x4 van to take you there.

More pressing question is why aren’t you playing jenga with the bread?

2. I had pesto spaghetti with roasted chicken, sun dried tomato, and pine nuts. And of course a little parmesan on top.

Before work I had tikka marinaded chicken breasts with steamed rice.
It was pleasant, not spicy as such but filled a hole.

I had $6.50 (for a large pie) pizza from our local place (cash special on M-W) NJ pizza is even better when it’s cheap.

Yes, that is both a delicious dinner and the best counter-hangover recipe.

Cheap pizza is usually best pizza, especially in the morning.

For your information the beers were a Brewhouse Blonde , Hefenweizen, Bells Two Hearted and a New Belgium Fat Tire. I drank them in order of light to dark.

What did you order? Every time someone mentions Subway, a particular episode from The New Adventures of Old Christine comes to mind.

That’s what one of my friends ordered, cuban shrimp ceviche.

I told my wife that if I were ever to becoming independently wealthy I would have a corner deli that employed almost exclusively local HS/college kids, served the best coffee, and build a relationship with local pizza shops to have cold pizza in the cold case every morning to sell along side bagels, muffins and other standard breakfast fare.

Hawaiian BBQ baby back ribs. I’d give you a picture of the bones but it won’t look as appetising as before I started

I love a classic new England fisherman’s platter. Cod, scallops, shrimp, clam strips. All wonderfully deep fried and servers on a pile of onion rings and French fries

The last time I ate Subway was 7 years ago in Nice near the train station. It was awful, and I thought it was hilarious that they had meat flavored potato chips. The neighborhood by the train station in Nice is really shitty.

Pan fried garlic chicken with artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, and olives on rice. My two picky kids are it up so I was satisfied.
Followed it up with a margarita and a cigar because it was 44C and I worked 12 hours then cooked an awesome meal.

When my wife and I were in Italy years and years ago, we were having one of those days that sometimes happen when you’ve spent every second of four weeks together in small hotel rooms (in other words, not really talking). We go out for dinner and she orders insalata frutti di mare thinking it was some sort of fruit salad. I speak a little Italian and knew what it was, but didn’t tell her (see above). She was fine with most of it, though, until she hit the squid. I still smile whenever I think of the look on her face as she bit down on it.
